NOTICE - The next meeting of the BRRC Club will be Tuesday January 6 at the Greenwell Springs Road Library at 7:00 PM

Please welcome Matt Jolissaint, our newest Club member. Mat and his wife Falynn live in Denham Springs. He is a beginner in the hobby and will need lots of help, support, and encouragement to get off the ground and start doing all that fun stuff up in the air.

Your Club dues for 2004 are due as of the January 6th meeting! Senior Member dues are $75; Junior Member dues are $20. There are no dues for Family Members, but they must have paid their AMA dues and have a 2004 membership card. Make your check out to "BRRCC", or have the correct cash and present it to Treasurer BC along with your 2004 AMA membership card, which will be stamped with the Club logo. This identifies you as a member in good standing and entitles you to fly at the Club field. If you cannot make it to the meeting mail your check and a Xerox copy of your 2004 AMA card to BC at 1486 Havenwood Dr., Baton Rouge, LA 70815-6738. Have him stamp your original card the next time you see him. Pay up now and get a whole year of fun and fellowship.

Come to the January meeting with your suggestions for 2004 activities along with their estimated costs and/or income. This is needed to help the Officers develop a budget for the year as required by the Club bylaws. It's your Club - what would you like to have it do (with your help) during 2004?

If you're 'computer literate' and haven't yet discovered the Club internet website at http://redstickrc.org/brrcc/ you're missing out on a 'gold mine' of great information including the monthly Club newsletter. Webmaster Richard Mason has done a fantastic job of setting-up and maintaining the site. If you haven't been there yet go now and see what you have been missing! It really belongs on your list of Favorites. If there is something you'd like to see added let Richard know.

In like manner Club Newsletter Editor Jimmy Lyon is always looking for articles, pictures, etc., to publish in the monthly newsletter. He has set-up an e-mail site at [email protected] to receive your input. Send him something to publish! He doesn't invent news - he just reports it. Also, let Jimmy know if you are willing to receive your newsletter from the Club website instead of by 'snail mail', thus saving the Club the 37¢ postage each month. Just send him a note at the above e-mail site.

A note on the email, I am getting a lot of spam. Please put the word 'newsletter' in the subject line.  I may have to turn on the filters.  This month George Sexton is going to give us a little history on the club itself.
